Welcome to Cutting Edge Pet Grooming, a pet salon dedicated to your pets, located just out of Plamondon, Alberta. On my site you can learn the importance of regular and proper grooming for your pet, so he can be happier and healthier, look for this information on the 'Services' page. My shop is located on Range Road 160, just off highway 55. In my shop I have new technology in grooming equipment so your pet can have the safest and most comfortable grooming visit possible. I strive in making your pet's visit to my shop the most memorable and most pleasent, so they will be excited about coming back. I also have a little pet store inside for all your pet's needs, such as: cat and dog clothing, toys, treats, beds, blankets, cat supplies, dog and cat food, odour eliminators and collars and leashes.

Equipment Used

There are many different tools used when grooming a dog. An assortment of brushes such as: a slicker brush which is very good at untangeling hair and breaking up mats. A boar-bristle brush helps to spread the pet's natural body oils throughout the coat. Rubber brushes which are really good to use while bathing. Combs are also handy when grooming, such as a mat comb, which is shaped like a rake and cuts through and removes mats without destroying the coat. Shedding Blades help to remove loose hair, and an Undercoat rake removes the dead undercoat. It is important to use the proper brush when brushing your pet. It is also important to remember that when brushing your pet, that you don't brush in the same spot more than five times. Doing so can damage the pet's skin and possibly leave a rash, if you need to brush more than five times in one spot brush a different spot than go back and brush again.

Bathing

Here at Cutting Edge I use nothing but the best shampoo for your pets. Using only what is suitable for pet's needs. I use such shampoos as "Puppy & Kitty Shampoo" which contains ultra-mild cleansing and conditioning compounds that help leave your precious pet's coat soft, shiny and easy to manage. "Super Whitening Shampoo" is specially designed for dogs with white and light coats. It brightens the dog's coat and reduces that yellow look. Leaves the dog's coat soft and shiny. "Dark Coat Shampoo" designed to brighten the dog's coat by bringing out its natural highlights. Leaves the dog's coat soft, shiny and easy to manage. Also "Anti-Shed Shampoo" which helps to reduce your pet's shedding, with regular use. "Premium Wash Shampoo" is used for those extra dirty dogs who need a real good scrubbing, the powerful wash agents in the shampoo help to get your pet feeling squeeky clean.
