Full Groom:

Brushing - Brushing is an important step to help your pets coat looking and feeling great. Regular brushing will help remove dead hair in the under coat, reduce shedding and will spread the skins natural oils giving your pet a healthy, shiny coat.

Bathing - I use nothing but the best shampoo and wash out conditioner for your pets, as I would for my own pet.

Trimming - I trim your pet according to your desired trimming requirement.

Teeth - Neglecting to brush your pet's teeth will cause a build up of plaque and tarter. If this is left too long the plaque will start to infect the gums which in turn will infect the blood. This can eventually cause heart disease. To prevent this from happening it is necessary to brush your pet's teeth regularily or get them brushed by your local vet or groomer.

Ears - Regular check-ups and cleaning help to prevent painful infections and contribute to your pets over all health. Most pet owners are not aware that hair grows in the ear canal. Because of this, most owners never check the inside of the ear unless the pet is shaking it's head continually or scratching more often than usual. By the time it gets to this point, there is usually a serious infection that needs to be treated by a vet.

Nails - Nail trimming is also a very important part of grooming and to your pets health and wellness. Failure to get your pet's nails trimmed regularily will cause the kwik of the nail to grow along with the nail. When this happens you cannot trim the nails short because you will cut the kwik, which in turn will bleed heavily. Keeping your pets nails trimmed on a regular basis will aid in keeping the kwik of the nail at a decent length and will reduce the chances of cutting it. Another risk in not trimming your pet's nails regularily is the chance that the nail will curl under and cause serious problems for your pet.

Cat Grooming

Contrary to popular belief, the self-grooming done by cats does not eliminate the need for professional grooming.

The cat's natural habit of licking has a seriously harmful effect. Cats have tiny barbs on their tongues that pull out lots of hair as they groom themselves. The large accumulation of hair that is swallowed as a result of this licking causes those dreaded hairball formations. They may develop throat and intestinal problems even if they're given hairball remedies.

Professional grooming of the cat is therefore not a luxury, it is an absolute necessity. Grooming reduces the amount of loose hair that can be swallowed. In addition, brushing and bathing effectively reduces the dander on the cat's skin which causes human allergies. Hairless cats, often considered safe for allergic humans to have, still are not completely non-allergenic. Dander and other allergens cling to their coats, too. Bathing them reduces allergic reactions.**
